Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a studio?

All of our booking is done online thru Acuity. Please click the button below to reserve your space. You must be a professional photographer or creative professional to book our studio spaces. Lion & Ram Studios is the set rental only, please make arrangements with your favorite photographer.


Can anyone rent a studio?

Lion & Ram Studios only rents our studio spaces to photographers or other accredited creative professionals. If you love our space and already have a photographer, please have them reach out to us directly. Lion & Ram Studios is a set rental only and doesn’t include a photographer.


Can I transfer my previous booking to a different studio?

Yes, as long as we have at least 48 hours notice. If you are moving to a lower priced studio, refunds will be returned with a 10% processing fee.


Can I arrive early to set-up?

No, we do not allow early arrivals. Each location has a waiting area. Feel free to wait for your reserved time there. Your reservation time includes set-up and tear-down, to be respectful of photographers that will be before and after you, please make sure you book the appropriate amount of time for your needs. If you do find yourself early, feel free to cruise around the historic downtown Middletown business district and check out some of our great local shops and restaurants.


Parking & Entry to Studios

1201 Central Studio: Oxen, Nest, Elk, Reid Studio. Free parking in second lot in the back. Please note that Verity Parkway is one way. You can turn in to the alley off of Central Ave to access the lot, or on street parking on Central Ave in front of Spoken Bicycles. Entrance is on the side of the building, along Verity Parkway. Studios are located above Spoken Bicycles.

Society Studio: Reese, Rhett, Executive and Society Studio. Parking and entrance is in the rear of the building, free parking in the alley. Please don’t block any business entry ways, or park in tow away lots. Doing so could result in lot owners towing your vehicle.

Outdoor Studio: Parking on street, or in the paved driveway, check detailed email for property guide.

NOTE: You will receive the code to enter the doors in your confirmation emails. You will always receive a confirmation email. If not please contact us immediately as to not impede your studio entry.

Each door has a unique code that changes often.


Do you have wifi access?

Yes, you will have access to free wifi in all of our studio locations.


Are you handicap accessible?

Yes! Our Reese & Rhett Studio. However the rest of our studios require some stairs. The Hayli Studio is on the first floor, with a minimum of two stairs. 1201 Central Studios require climbing two to three flights of stairs, depending on which studio(s) you book. The Society Loft is one flight of stairs to the studio.


Are we allowed to bring our pets?

We love animals, we do allow pets in our Reese & Rhett Studio. We do not allow them in any other studio spaces to keep it allergy friendly.


Can I tour the studio before I book?

Yes, we highly recommend to do so. With adequate notice we can accommodate tours. Please email info@lionandramstudios.com to schedule a time. If you’re unable to tour, please email us, we keep many videos and can help guide and recommend a space based upon needs.


Do you decorate for holidays?

We do decorate our studios spaces for Christmas, that includes trees, lighting, and decor. On occasion we do set up for other holiday shoots like Easter and Valentines Day, Keep an eye out on our social media for special event shoots, or email us at info@lionandramstudios.com for more information. Studios are subject to change at our discretion. We provide transfers or refunds 48 hours or more out if set changes causes discrepancy.


Glitter, Cake Smash, Confetti & Mayhem

The good news - we do allow cake smash sessions* in all of our studios. The sad news - no glitter bombs, flying icing, glow paint, flammable objects, or any other “fun” destructive items are permitted in our other studios for obvious reasons. A real drag, we know.

*If cake smash mess is not cleaned up prior to the end of your booking window a $200 cleaning fee will be applied.


Can I rent a studio for an event?

At this time we are only renting for photography shoots. We are unable to accommodate parties and events such as baby showers and weddings, or overnight stays.


I need to reschedule.

We understand there can be numerous reasons a rescheduling may result. As long as you are not within the 48 hour window, you can reschedule your appointment by clicking the ‘reschedule’ button on your booking confirmation email to find a better time.

If you need to reschedule your appointment within the 48 hours prior, even if due to Covid-19, there will be an 25% rescheduling fee, appointments within 12 hours of booked time are not eligible. Your rescheduled appointment must be booked within 10 days, same studio and it will not be eligible to be canceled, refunded, or rebooked. Please email info@lionandramstudios.com to make these arrangements.

If there is inclement weather resulting in hazardous driving conditions we will leave this to personal discretion of photographer/booking agent.


Can I get a refund?

Things happen, we get it. You are able to cancel your appointment for a full refund up to 48 hours prior to your appointment. Anything less than a 48 hour cancellation notice is non-refundable, this includes cancellations due to Covid-19.

If you are issued a non-refundable credit for any reason, you have 90 days from the date it was issued to be used.
